Ultrasonic facial treatment is a very subtle and non-aggressive method of removing impurities. The ultrasound machine simultaneously cleans pores and removes the layer of dead cells from the skin surface, and enhances the cellular oxygen supply. The result is a clean and glowing skin without the redness and irritation. Ultrasound treatment is excellent in combination with microdermabrasion because it soothes the skin and improves the absorption of active and nutritious products for skin care.

Course of the procedure
Once the skin is thoroughly cleaned and de-greased, the phase of enzyme peeling begins, that will perform strong exfoliation of cells and remove layers of dirt from the surface of the skin. Once the dried Enzyme Peeling Paste is removed with small gauze, we will put on a face Skin Prep lotion that will dry skin and extra de-grease it, since it is rich in alcohol, and prepare the skin for the treatment of microdermabrasion. Controlled abrasion with aluminum oxide crystals will last for about ten minutes, and it will gently remove all dirt, equalize skin and give it a sleek and youthful appearance with the feeling that the skin is breathing.
Now when the skin is opened we will inject ampoules with a high proportion of active ingredients into the subcutaneous tissue in order to penetrate into it as deep as possible. Additionally, it will be suppressed by ultrasonic treatment which will follow. This pleasant 10 minute massage also soothes and regenerates skin cells. It is very important to rinse the ultrasound gel well after the treatment with ultrasound so that the mask that follows is comfortable as much as possible, and after 15 minutes of the pack, depending on skin type and problems that we treat, we select the serum and finishing cream and by gentle massage suppress them into the skin. Recovery
The biggest advantage of this treatment is that there is no particular recovery time so you can, immediately after the procedure, return to daily activities. Microdermabrasion is completely painless and you can see the result immediately.
Care after treatment is as important as the preparation for the treatment. The skin should be treated gently because it passes through the delicate process of surface healing that begins 12 hours after the treatment and takes 7 days to result in healthy skin. After the treatment the skin must be well moisturized. The process of healing of the skin begins with increased immune activity, increases blood supply in the damaged skin, intensifies the production of collagen and solidifies tissue.
Precautions and limitations
Microdermabrasion is not recommended for people:
- with skin disease, atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis, psoriasis
- who are under Roaccutane treatment
- having skin cancer
- that are under strong medications
- have open wounds and burns
At the Polyclinic Lege Artis, we recommend avoiding the sun and tanning after the treatment. If you have an open wound, treatment cannot be applied. Also, we do not recommend treating newly operated, injured or burned areas.
